Download & Install

The Hypermass CLI lets you publish, manage, and subscribe to data streams right from your terminal.

Download​

Check the releases page of Github - the most recent release is usually fine.

Pick the right version for your platform:

  • Windows: hypermass_<version>_windows_amd64.zip
  • macOS: hypermass_<version>_darwin_arm64.tar.gz for Apple silicon, or darwin_amd64 for Intel. macOS blocks unsigned programs at first, so run xattr -d com.apple.quarantine ./hypermass once.
  • Linux: hypermass_<version>_linux_amd64.tar.gz, or linux_arm64

Extract the contents - you should get an executable called hypermass.

Try without installing​

You can try the Hypermass CLI by running it from the folder you extracted it to, e.g.

./hypermass info

Use ./hypermass on macOS, Linux and Windows PowerShell, or hypermass.exe in the Windows Command Prompt. Then carry on with Getting Started.

info

This approach works for all features of the hypermass program. Installing it is a convenience, not a requirement.

Install​

Install hypermass as a command - this allows you to run it anywhere, and run "sync" as a service.

Upgrade​

Get the new binary and just repeat the installation process above, replacing the old binary with the new one.
